Liquid Looping is a DeFi primitive that supercharges staking by “looping” your assets through liquid staking tokens (LSTs) and lending protocols. Instead of a single stake, your deposit is recursively staked—stake, borrow, re-stake, repeat—achieving significantly higher yields with marginally higher risk than direct staking.

Maximize HYPE yield via an automated looping strategy

loopedHYPE (LHYPE) is an automated looping protocol that maximizes yield on staked HYPE.

Users simply deposit HYPE to get LHYPE, then behind the scenes the protocol uses an automated looping strategy to generate additional yield, on top of any network rewards earned from staking.

# Product Mechanics

1. **Deposit Asset:** A user deposits 200 HYPE and receives \~200 newly-minted *LHYPE* in return, minus the gas & execution fees to execute the transaction.
2. **Execution Fees:** Slippage fees are included in the price when minting & redeeming. loopedHYPE earns no profit from the minting or redeeming of *LHYPE*.
3. **AutoLoop:** The Risk Curator oversees AutoLoop, which stakes the underlying HYPE into a Liquid Staking Protocol (i.e stHYPE), receives stHYPE, then supplies it to a decentralized lending protocol, borrows HYPE against stHYPE, and stakes HYPE again. This strategy is recursively executed up to 15x.
4. **Risk Management:** The Risk Curator calibrates AutoLoop to rebalance the position daily. Based on the current market conditions, the multiplier is adjusted for the most efficient and safest looping strategy.

## Technical Implementation

### Withdrawal Mechanics

#### LHYPE → stHYPE

**Overview**\
LHYPE withdrawals are allowance-based, time-bound, and resolved by Paxos Labs. Only one request can be active at a time.

**Key Mechanics**

* **Request submission:**
  * Submitting a new withdrawal **replaces the previous request**.
  * Only **one active request** is allowed at a time (**stHYPE**).
* **Asset handling during withdrawal:**
  * **LHYPE remains in your wallet** while the request is pending.
  * Once resolved, **LHYPE is burned** and you receive **stHYPE**.
* **Cancellation:**
  * You can cancel a withdrawal by **removing the allowance**.
* **Timeouts:**
  * Withdrawal requests **expire after 5 days**.
* **Settlement:**
  * Requests are **solved by the Paxos team**.
* **Fees:**
  * A **4 bps withdrawal fee** applies to prevent excessive arbitrage.


# AutoLoop

### AutoLoop

AutoLoop functions by borrowing HYPE against stHYPE, then staking the additional HYPE earned back into the looping strategy (also known as recursive staking). This process can be looped between 3x - 15x depending on the staking APY and borrow rate.

AutoLoop automatically adjusts the loop multiplier used in the strategy to generate the maximum yield. Rebalancing happens once a day, to optimize the efficiency of the trade and deleverage if needed.

This ensures LHYPE holders can benefit from the most efficient looping multiplier for the best risk-adjusted yield.

#### Key Functionalities of AutoLoop include:

1. **Real-Time Monitoring**
   * Tracks staking APYs, borrowing rates, and LST prices throughout the day.
   * Prepares for the daily rebalance by collecting up-to-date data.
2. **Unified Multipliers**
   * Everyone in the vault is exposed to the same leverage setting.
   * Simplifies management and keeps user returns consistent.
3. **Risk Controls**
   * Daily deleveraging triggers if LTV exceeds safe thresholds.
   * Circuit breakers pause new loops during sudden market swings.
   * Gradual unwinding reduces the chance of forced liquidations.
   * Eliminate depeg risk by using the exchange ratio

#### How It Works

1. **Data Collection**
   * System fetches price feeds, APYs, and loan rates each day.
   * Compares current LTV to borrowing and staking spreads.
2. **Decision Logic**
   * **Leverage Up**: If staking APY outpaces borrowing costs, AutoLoop borrows more and stakes again.
   * **Leverage Down**: If borrowing rates rise or LST values drop, it repays loans or unstakes as necessary.
3. **Daily Rebalancing**
   * At a set time, AutoLoop updates the vault’s multiplier for all depositors.
   * Ensures uniform adjustments so everyone benefits from optimal settings.

   * You deposit tokens and AutoLoop is automatically enabled.
2. **Ongoing Operation**
   * AutoLoop rebalances daily with no extra effort on your part.

# Stability Fund

The LHYPE Stability Fund is a Peg Stability Module (PSM) to strengthen the peg of LHYPE while simultaneously generating additional yield for LHYPE holders.

PSM is a mechanism (originally popularized by MakerDAO) that helps maintain a stable “peg” by letting people swap in/out of a token at nearly 1:1 with minimal slippage. The idea is to capture and redistribute the arbitrage value back to vault holders instead of letting external traders capture it.

### How it works

If LHYPE trading on secondary markets deviates from its underlying value, the protocol-owned LHYPE Stability Fund will either buy or sell LHYPE on a DEX to align the market price with the actual value.

The LHYPE Stability Fund monitors market prices across several decentralized exchanges (DEXes) in real-time to identify potential scenarios where LHYPE is under- or over-pegged. When an arbitrage opportunity is recognized, the LSF automatically buys or sells LHYPE to correct the market and bring its price back to its underlying value. The additional yield generated from these transactions is then redistributed evenly among LHYPE holders, rather than being lost to external arbitrageurs.

Market price: 1.1 HYPE (undervalued)

**Action:**

1. Fund spends 100 HYPE to buy 90.9 LHYPE

WHLP automates the process of depositing to HLP while providing users with a transferable, DeFi-compatible token.

The strategy provides simple, overcollateralized lending exposure. Liquidation risk arises only if collateral values fall materially below required margin thresholds.

LcBTC primarily uses cbBTC and wBTC as collateral assets to lend against. Positions are exposed to liquidation risk during rapid BTC price declines, particularly when loan-to-value (LTV) ratios increase sharply.

Mitigations

* Conservative target LTV of \~50%, supported by stress-tested risk buffers.
* Strategy parameters calibrated to withstand 40–50% BTC drawdowns over short timeframes.
* Continuous margin monitoring with automated deleveraging and cross-venue position management.

500,000 $LOOP (With a 1% decay starting from 18th July 2025) will be distributed every week to the most loyal holders via Loyalty Rewards.\

#### Minimum Mint Calculation

Compute the minimum number of LHYPE shares to mint, factoring in slippage.

If the calculated minimumMint is too high, the deposit call will fail.

Integrate Wrapped HLP (WHLP) into your app to acquire users and earn fees.

### Product Overview

**wHLP** is a tokenized wrapper of HyperLiquidity Provider (HLP). Users mint wHLP and earn HLP trading fees while keeping full DeFi composability on HyperEVM. Integrators earn fees for every deposit attributed to their unique `communityCode`. For CommunityCode flow, **deposits are in USDT0**.<br>

The **CommunityCodeDepositor** exposes a single `deposit` function. The **accepted** deposit asset for this flow is **USDT0**.

#### Minimum Mint Calculation

Compute the minimum number of wHLP shares to mint, factoring in slippage.

If the calculated minimumMint is too high, the deposit call will fail.

* `WHLP_EXCHANGE_RATE` is fetched via `Accountant.getRateInQuote(assetAddress)`.
* `maxSlippage` defines your worst acceptable deviation.

### Exchange Rate & Swap vs Mint

Before depositing, you may choose between swapping on a DEX or depositing natively:

1. **Order size** (large orders may incur DEX price impact)
2. **Market rate** vs **native rate** (if on-chain swap is cheaper)

### Withdrawal Flow

**Requesting a Withdrawal**

To redeem wHLP back to **USDT0**, submit/modify a request via the **Atomic Queue** (UCP). Solvers process requests periodically.
