Decentralization Roadmap

PreviousProduct MechanicsNextSecurity & Risk Managemet

Last updated 1 hour ago

WHLP follows a two-phase approach to decentralization, progressively reducing trust assumptions while maintaining operational efficiency. This roadmap balances immediate functionality with long-term trustlessness.

Phase 1: Automation, Cold Signing & Transparency

Status: Live Implementation Phase 1 combines automated scheduling with centralized security controls and full operational transparency.

Key Features

  • Automated Operations: HLP deposits and redemptions are automated and happens at least every 24h

  • Cold Storage Security: All transactions signed from offline cold wallets

  • Transparent Operations: Public reporting on all fund movements and operational decisions

Trust & Risk Model

Users trust the WHLP Manager to execute whitelisted smart contract functions and asset conversions properly while benefiting from:

  • Maximum security through cold wallet architecture

  • Full transparency into operational processes and fund flows

  • Consistent execution of documented procedures

  • Immediate protocol functionality

Phase 2: CoreWriter Launch

Status: Awaiting CoreWriter Mainnet Launch

Phase 2 leverages CoreWriter—a system contract that bridges HyperEVM and HyperCore—to automate cross-environment operations currently requiring manual signatures.

CoreWriter Integration:

  • Automated Asset Conversion: Smart contracts use CoreWriter to place limit orders on HyperCore for USDHL/USDC conversions

  • Direct HLP Operations: Vault deposits/withdrawals execute through CoreWriter actions sent to HyperCore

  • Trustless Execution: Operations encoded on-chain and processed with one-block finality

  • Eliminated Manual Intervention: No more cold wallet signatures for routine cross-environment operations

Key Changes:

  • Cross-Environment Automation: Asset transfers between HyperEVM and HyperCore execute automatically

  • On-Chain Limit Orders: Conversion parameters (≥$1.00 for deposits, ≤$1.00 for withdrawals) encoded in smart contracts

  • Reduced Dependencies: Routine operations no longer require cold wallet signatures

  • Enhanced Auditability: All CoreWriter actions visible and verifiable on-chain

Benefits

  • Trustless Operations: Reduced reliance on centralized decision-making

  • Transparent Automation: All operations visible and verifiable on-chain

  • Improved Composability: Better DeFi integration capabilities

  • Lower Operational Risk: Elimination of human error in routine processes

Implementation Timeline Phase 2 activation depends on HyperEVM precompiles becoming available. The transition will maintain operational continuity while systematically reducing trust requirements.

This roadmap ensures WHLP users can earn HLP yields immediately while progressing toward fully trustless operations as the underlying infrastructure matures.
